Kevin Minter

Greg Auman on Twitter
Bucs signed LB Kevin Minter.
Analysis: The Bucs are short 'backers after losing two to torn ACLs in Week 7. A longtime Cardinals starter, Minter made nine 2017 appearances for the Jets. He will likely see immediate snaps in Tampa.

Speaking Monday, coach Dirk Koetter confirmed Peyton Barber picked up an injury late in the Bucs' overtime win over the Browns but declined to disclose its nature.
Kwon Alexander
Torn ACL confirmed for Kwon Alexander

Adam Schefter on Twitter
Bucs MLB Kwon Alexander suffered a torn ACL Week 7 against the Browns.
Analysis: The Bucs feared Alexander had torn his ACL, and that diagnosis was confirmed on Monday. It is a tough blow for a player scheduled to hit free agency in the spring. Adarius Taylor is likely the next man up.
Chris Godwin
Chris Godwin in on 69 percent of snaps
Mon, Oct 22, 2018, 9:17 AM
Chris Godwin played 66-of-95 snaps (69 percent) Week 7 against the Browns.
Analysis: This was his highest snap share since Week 1. It is notable considering Godwin had been splitting time with DeSean Jackson while Adam Humphries dominated slot snaps. Humphries was limited to 57 snaps in this contest, and Jackson played just 43. Despite the playing time, Godwin still finished fourth on the team with six targets. Godwin's inconsistent target share will make him a volatile fantasy option, but he has four touchdowns in six games as a prominent red-zone threat in a good passing offense. He will be an upside WR3 this week against the Bengals.
Cameron Brate
Brate has three catches in Week 7 versus CLE
Sun, Oct 21, 2018, 4:42 PM
Cameron Brate caught 3-of-4 targets for 23 yards in Sunday's Week 7 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Brate lost a fumble on one of his three catches that the Bucs were fortunate to have come back to haunt them. Brate has just 15 targets on the season and only has true fantasy value if something were to happen to O.J. Howard.
O.J. Howard
O.J. Howard catches five passes versus Browns
Sun, Oct 21, 2018, 4:39 PM
O.J. Howard caught 5-of-9 passes for 67 yards in Sunday's Week 7 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Howard's nine targets were the most he's had in a game this season. His best play of the day came on a 24-yard catch over a defender in which he was down at the 2-yard line. Howard now has 20 catches for 351 yards and two scores through six games and will be a lower-TE1 option against a Bengals team that has struggled to defend the tight end position all season.
Adam Humphries
Humphries remains Bucs WR2 versus Browns
Sun, Oct 21, 2018, 4:32 PM
Adam Humphries caught 4-of-8 targets for 37 yards in Sunday's Week 7 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Humphries continues to work as the Bucs true WR2 in terms of snaps and routes and Sunday he was only out-targeted by Mike Evans (10) and O.J. Howard (nine). Humphries is the worst kind of player because he is not valuable for fantasy purposes on his own merit while remaining a thorn in the side of the fantasy ceilings for the members of the Tampa Bay passing game. He is not a viable fantasy option Week 8 against the Bengals.
Chris Godwin
Chris Godwin goes for 59 yards versus Browns
Sun, Oct 21, 2018, 4:28 PM
Chris Godwin caught 5-of-6 passes for 59 yards in Sunday's Week 7 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Godwin did most of his damage in the first half, catching four passes for 36 yards before the break. Afterwards, he received just two targets as he's still running behind all of Mike Evans, Adam Humphries and DeSean Jackson. Godwin remains a touchdown-or-bust fantasy option Week 8 against the Bengals.
Mike Evans
Evans goes over 100-yards receiving vs Browns
Sun, Oct 21, 2018, 4:24 PM
Mike Evans caught 7-of-10 targets for 107 yards in Sunday's Week 7 win over the Browns.
Analysis: After two slow weeks with 107 yards combined through the air, Evans led the Bucs across the board in receiving. With Denzel Ward following DeSean Jackson, Evans worked mostly on Damarious Randall on the afternoon. After scoring a touchdown in the opening three weeks of the season, Evans has failed to reach the end zone over the past three games. Despite that, he remains a high-end WR1 option in Week 8 on the road against the Bengals.
DeSean Jackson
DeSean Jackson has 33 yards, finds end zone
Sun, Oct 21, 2018, 4:18 PM
DeSean Jackson caught 2-of-5 targets for 25 yards while rushing twice for eight yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 7 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Jackson scored the first touchdown of the game on a 14-yard end around in the first quarter. He then nearly reeled in a touchdown on the following drive that was broken up by Denzel Ward. Ward followed Jackson for the majority of the afternoon as Ward's size and speed was best suited for Jackson rather than that of Mike Evans. Jackson's 14-yard catch in overtime on third down set up the game-winning field goal. Heading into Week 8, Jackson will be a boom-or-bust WR3 option against the Bengals.
Ronald Jones
Ronald Jones scores first career TD vs Browns
Sun, Oct 21, 2018, 4:12 PM
Ronald Jones rushed six times for 13 yards and a touchdown while catching his lone target for 15 yards in Sunday's Week 7 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Jones was hardly used until Peyton Barber appeared to suffer an injury in the third quarter. After that, he tallied five of his six touches in the game, including a 2-yard rushing score set up by a long O.J. Howard reception. Jones may get an uptick if Barber is indeed injured heading into Week 8, but he is only a FLEX option at best when the Bucs head to Cincinnati.
Peyton Barber
Peyton Barber has 30 yards versus Bucs
Sun, Oct 21, 2018, 4:02 PM
Peyton Barber rushed 11 times for 30 yards in Sunday's Week 7 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Barber failed to secure either of his two targets in the passing game. He appeared to injure his ankle on his final target of the game in the third quarter and although the Bucs provided no update on his status in game, he never returned to the field the rest of the way. Barber's status will be one to monitor early in the week, but even if he is good to go in Week 8, he is at best a low-level FLEX option on the road against the Bengals.
Jameis Winston
Winston throws for 365, rushes for 55 in win
Sun, Oct 21, 2018, 3:58 PM
Jameis Winston completed 32-of-52 passes for 365 yards with an interception while rushing 10 times for 55 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 7 win over the Browns.
Analysis: Winston turned in one his specials where he showcased all of the positives that made him the first overall selection in the 2015 draft and all of the mistakes that keep his status as a franchise quarterback in question. Winston threw two telegraphed interceptions and a lost a fumble on a scramble, but also shook off multiple sacks and extended drives in the run game consistently all afternoon. The highlight of his day was a 14-yard touchdown run where he sacrificed his body and dove for the end zone in the second quarter. Winston has now turned in games of 395 and 365 passing yards in his two starts. 300-yard passing games are just about something we should expect weekly in this Tampa Bay passing game. Despite his propensity for turnovers each week, Winston will be a high-floor fantasy option in Week 8 on the road against the Bengals.
Kwon Alexander
Bucs fear torn ACL for MLB Kwon Alexander
Sun, Oct 21, 2018, 3:03 PM
Ian Rapoport onTwitter
Buccaneers fear that MLB Kwon Alexander suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's Week 7 game versus the Browns.
Analysis: Alexander was injured rushing Baker Mayfield on Tampa Bay's final defensive play of the first half. He clipped legs with Mayfield on a pass rush and left the field under his own power, but was immediately ruled out for the game. Adarius Taylor replaced Alexander in the game on Sunday.

Scott Smith on Twitter
Buccaneers LB Kwon Alexander was forced from Sunday's Week 7 game versus the Browns and will not return.
Analysis: Alexander was injured on the final defensive play of the first half when he clipped legs with Baker Mayfield on a sack attempt. With Alexander out, the Buccaneers are playing Adarius Taylor at middle linebacker.
Gerald McCoy
Bucs DT Gerald McCoy officially inactive
Sun, Oct 21, 2018, 10:39 AM
Bucs DT Gerald McCoy (calf) is inactive for Week 7 against the Browns.
Analysis: McCoy was an early rule out. He may be looking at a multi-game absence after not practicing all week. Also inactive are DE Vinny Curry, QB Ryan Griffin, RB Shaun Wilson, OL Alex Cappa, OL Mike Liedtke and DE Demone Harris.
Gerald McCoy
Bucs rule out DT Gerald McCoy vs Browns
Fri, Oct 19, 2018, 2:24 PM
Bucs DT Gerald McCoy (calf) has been ruled out for Week 7 against the Browns.
Analysis: McCoy may be looking at a multi-game absence after not practicing all week. It's a huge downgrade to the interior of the Bucs' defense. Nick Chubb and Baker Mayfield get matchup upgrades with McCoy out.
Gerald McCoy
Gerald McCoy misses back-to-back practices
Thu, Oct 18, 2018, 2:32 PM
Gerald McCoy (calf) did not practice Wednesday or Thursday.
Analysis: It's an ominous development after McCoy left last week's loss early. Already the worst defense in the league by a mile, you can imagine how bad the unit would be without its best player.
Jameis Winston
Jameis Winston (hip) practicing in full
Wed, Oct 17, 2018, 3:12 PM
Rick Stroud on Twitter
Jameis Winston (hip) is practicing in full for Week 7 against the Browns.
Analysis: Winston is dealing with a minor hip injury though it shouldn't impact his status for Week 7. Coming off a dominant performance Sunday in Atlanta, Winston should be in the QB1 mix against Cleveland.
Devante Bond
Bucs resign strong-side LB Devante Bond
Tue, Oct 16, 2018, 5:30 PM
Greg Auman on Twitter
Buccaneers resigned LB Devante Bond.
Analysis: Bond was waived by the Bucs with an injury settlement after suffering from plantar fasciitis in the preseason. Now that he's recovered, he's expected to compete for the strong-side linebacker job. Bond led the Bucs special-teams with 10 tackles last season.
